Gynecomastia removal
Solutions for men who want their confidence back
Gynecomastia is a common condition that causes enlargement of the mammary gland in men. It can be caused by hormonal imbalances, the use of certain medications or genetic predispositions. Regardless of the cause, it can have a negative effect on self-esteem, appearance and quality of life. Plastic surgery - gynecomastia removal - is an effective and safe solution.
At our clinic, we approach the procedure individually, because the cause and extent of the problems may be different for each man. Surgical removal of the gland is combined with liposuction as needed to give a firm and naturally masculine chest. The operation itself usually takes 1-2 hours and is performed under general anaesthesia.
We are specialists in gynecomastia removal
Our plastic surgeons have extensive experience with this procedure. At the Medical Institute, we treat each client individually, with an emphasis on natural appearance and safety. We use modern techniques that minimize scarring and shorten recovery time.

Why undergo gynecomastia removal
- Appearance improvements - The procedure restores a masculine, firm and symmetrical appearance to the chest.
- Increase self-confidence - After the procedure, clients often describe a significant improvement in self-perception, comfort in clothing and increased self-confidence.
- Permanent result - If the actual gland is removed and the cause is not recurrent, the results tend to be long-lasting to permanent.
How does the procedure work?
- Before surgery, there is always a consultation with a plastic surgeon to assess your health, tissue extent and expectations. The procedure itself takes approximately 1 hour and is performed under general anesthesia.
- The surgeon makes a small incision (usually in the areola) to remove excess gland, fat, or a combination of both. Sometimes liposuction is added for better contouring of the chest.
Before and after
Immediately after the procedure
- recommended rest and stay at home
- compression underwear is worn continuously, helping to reduce swelling and maintain the shape of the chest
The first week
- swelling and bruising gradually subside
After 1 month
- most normal activities are possible without restrictions
- light sport and lower body exercises can be included gradually
- the swelling is smaller, the chest begins to take its final shape
Final result
- is noticeable after approximately 3-6 months, when the tissues are fully healed
- the chest has a masculine and natural look
- patients describe a significant improvement in self-esteem and psychological well-being
