Perfectly clean teeth and gums
Why attend dental hygiene regularly? And what does time spent with a dental hygienist actually look like?
What complications can neglected dental care lead to? And should we really brush our teeth immediately after every meal?
During the first visit, we evaluate the condition of the oral cavity, explain and show what is fine and what is not. When we find something that is not right, we explain the cause of the problem. We also show you how to prevent it. Dental plaque and tartar are the main causes of diseases such as tooth decay, gum inflammation, periodontitis, and also the unpleasant bad breath.
Subsequently, the dental hygienist removes mineralized plaque deposits (tartar). This removal is not always achieved during the first visit. Therefore, it is sometimes necessary to invite the patient for additional cleaning. This is always individually assessed by the dental hygienist based on the patient’s condition.
"Dental hygiene is a fundamental component of oral health prevention, helping to prevent tooth decay, gum inflammation and periodontitis. The treatment includes professional removal of dental plaque and tartar, cleaning of interdental spaces and instruction in proper home care. At Medical Institut we place great emphasis on gentle and precise execution, so that teeth and gums remain healthy, clean and aesthetically well-maintained long-term."
The procedure usually takes 30 to 60 minutes and is performed in completely comfortable conditions. We apply a numbing cream before the treatment, so you only feel minimal discomfort.
You will usually notice the first improvement within a few days to weeks after the initial treatment. For optimal results, we recommend a series of sessions according to an individual plan.
The exact number of treatments and total cost are determined after an initial consultation with our specialist. Typically, it involves 3–6 sessions at intervals of several weeks.
The procedure is among the safest methods. Before the first treatment, we will discuss your health condition and evaluate any contraindications. Slight redness at the injection site is common and subsides quickly.
