Laser treatment for broken capillaries on the face
Spider veins are a fine network of tiny blood vessels located just beneath the surface of the skin. They can appear red, purple, blue or pink, and most commonly develop on the cheeks or around the nose. These veins may be dilated or broken. This is a purely cosmetic concern that can be easily resolved!
This aesthetic issue is usually genetic in origin, particularly in combination with excessive sun exposure, but it is important to bear in mind that it may also be associated with liver disease or hormonal imbalance. It can also be related to a condition known as rosacea.
The laser we use to treat this problem belongs to the category of so-called hard lasers. It targets only the unwanted vascular issue and leaves surrounding tissues virtually untouched. Immediately after the procedure, the treated area may appear reddened. However, this subsides within a few days depending on the extent and intensity of the treatment.
"Laser removal of facial veins is a gentle, non-invasive treatment that uses a targeted laser to close small dilated blood vessels and reduce skin redness. It helps improve the overall appearance of the skin, even its tone and reduce the visible signs of vascular changes. At Medical Institut we place great emphasis on precise and safe execution, so that the skin is calmer, cleaner and aesthetically balanced with minimal downtime."
The procedure usually takes 30 to 60 minutes and is performed in completely comfortable conditions. We apply a numbing cream before the treatment, so you only feel minimal discomfort.
You will usually notice the first improvement within a few days to weeks after the initial treatment. For optimal results, we recommend a series of sessions according to an individual plan.
The exact number of treatments and total cost are determined after an initial consultation with our specialist. Typically, it involves 3–6 sessions at intervals of several weeks.
The procedure is among the safest methods. Before the first treatment, we will discuss your health condition and evaluate any contraindications. Slight redness at the injection site is common and subsides quickly.
