Otoplasty (ear surgery) in Pilsen

Otoplasty - ear surgery for a harmonious appearance and greater self-confidence

Drooping or asymmetrical ears may be a minor aesthetic defect, but they have a major impact on overall facial expression and self-perception. Otoplasty, or plastic surgery of the ears, is a simple surgical procedure that adjusts the shape, size or position of the ears to fit the face and look natural.

The procedure is suitable for children and adults who are unhappy with the appearance of their ears - whether due to a birth defect, injury or aesthetic preference. At the Medical Institute we perform otoplasty gently, safely and with respect for the wishes of each client. The result is not only a modified ear shape, but above all greater confidence in everyday life.

Otoplasty by experienced surgeons

Otoplasty is a procedure that, although it addresses an apparent detail, can have a major impact on your overall appearance and self-esteem. At the Medical Institute, we approach it with the utmost care, respect and individual attention. Each ear shape is unique - as are the wishes of each client.

The procedures are performed by experienced plastic surgeons who understand not only the anatomy but also the aesthetics of the face as a whole. The goal is not just to ``move'' your ears closer to your head, but to create a natural, symmetrical and harmonious result that fits your features.

We use modern and gentle surgical techniques that minimize swelling, speed healing and leave as few visible marks as possible. A safe environment, a discreet approach and careful pre- and post-operative care are a matter of course.

Why undergo otoplasty

  • Otoplasty is a minor surgical procedure that modifies the shape, size or position of the pinnae.
  • It is most often performed for protruding ears, but it also helps with asymmetry or post-traumatic changes.
  • Its biggest advantage is that delivers lasting results with minimal burden on the body.
  • From an aesthetic point of view, otoplasty can significantly improve the overall harmony of the face - the ears look more natural, do not distort the proportions of the head or attract unwanted attention.
  • The procedure is often very important from a psychological point of view - Many clients describe that their self-confidence has increased significantly after ear correction, they feel more relaxed around people and have stopped covering their ears with hairstyles or hats.

How does otoplasty work?

  • Before the surgery, the doctor will discuss with you in detail what is bothering you, what you expect from the procedure and suggest the ideal solution. He or she will carefully assess the position and shape of your earlobes and explain everything clearly.
  • The procedure usually takes 60 to 90 minutes. The incision is made on the back of the ear or in its natural fold, so the resulting scar is almost invisible.
  • The surgeon adjusts the cartilage to give the ear a new shape or to bring it closer to the head.
  • The wound is then sutured with fine stitches and the ear is fixed with a bandage.
  • After a week, you can usually return to your normal activities, but it is advisable to postpone sports or more physical activity for a few weeks.
  • The resulting shape of the ears is visible immediately after removal of the bandage and remains permanent.

Before and after

  • Otoplasty is a minor surgical procedure with surprisingly great benefits - not only aesthetic, but also psychological.
  • It allows you to adjust the shape, size or position of the earbuds to better match your face and not be distracting.
  • From an aesthetic point of view, it helps to harmonize the overall appearance of the head and face.
  • After the procedure, the ears move closer to the head, become less noticeable and contribute significantly to softer and more balanced features.
  • The resulting effect is natural, unobtrusive and long-lasting.
  • After otoplasty, clients often report that they feel more confident, relaxed and no longer feel the need to hide their ears behind their hair, hat or scarf.
  • This applies not only to adults, but also to children, for whom the procedure can prevent teasing and reinforce a healthy self-image at an early age.
