This outpatient procedure, performed under local anaesthesia, is virtually painless and can be completed during your lunch break.
Before the procedure, you will have a consultation during which the doctor will assess the severity of your sweating problems. Subsequently, botulinum toxin is injected using a very fine needle directly into the problem area (e.g. underarms), resulting in a significant reduction or complete cessation of sweating for up to 7–12 months.
